“I thoroughly look forward to starting my journey into psychiatry and being able to provide people relief from their mental ailments. I entered medicine after seeing my mother struggle with her cancer diagnosis and decided that I wanted to be able to help others through the difficulties that disorders and everyday life can bring. I look forward to growing with my patients and bringing peace into their lives and the lives of their families. When I’m not working, I spend my free time taking care of my dog Bleu, and I enjoy crocheting as well as fantasy or sci-fi books and films.”

Chandelle Shannon, Physician Assistant, M.M.S

“I am so excited to be working with MI Psychiatry. I have a deep desire to care for my patients, particularly those who feel disconnected, confused, hurt, and are searching for professional help. I am excited to walk alongside my patients in each of their individual journeys. All that being said, outside of work I am an active person. I enjoy the outdoors and any and all types of sports including disc golf, racquetball, basketball, volleyball, and golf. I also am actively involved at my church. Some things that light up my days are my dog Rocket, all kinds of plants and wildlife, and any type of coffee drink. It’s the little things in life.”

Sydney Williams, LMSW

“I’m excited to begin working with MI Psychiatry and to be joining their team! Often there may be times in our lives when we need more guidance and support to help navigate the hurdles in front of us. Sometimes, we need a little help coming to terms with our past. I enjoy helping people to overcome their past and present struggles to become their best selves and live a life they love. My approach is supportive and non-judgmental. I may challenge you at times with the objective to help you reach your goals and continue to grow.

My clinical specialties include depression, anxiety, family and relationship issues, personality and mood disorders, and self-esteem issues. I utilize CBT, motivational interviewing, DBT techniques and person in environment theories. I have a background of primarily working with adults 18+ with varying diagnoses in both outpatient and inpatient settings. I have also done work with suicide prevention with older teens and navigating teen self-esteem and bullying issues.”
